This “hors d’âge” rum presented in a beautiful glass decanter is a blend of aged rums from Barbados, column-distilled and aged in Palo Cortado sherry casks. Forgotten for years in a cellar in the southern part of the island, it reveals an aromatic profile typical of English style rums. The nose reveals notes of citrus and cooked fruit, supported by the scent of cigar boxes. On the palate, the attack is woody and spicy. It bears witness to the time spent in Palo Cortado casks, with dried fruit and spice flavors that stretch to a finish with notes of waxed noble wood.
